For the third time in three years, the Little Rock Workforce Development Area exceeded all of the performance goals for each of the 9 Common Measures, including:

 

1)   Placement, Employment, and Education for Youth

2)    Attainment of Degree or Certification for Youth

3)    Literacy and Numeracy Gain for Youth

4)    Entered Employment Rate for Adults

5)    Entered Employment Rate for Dislocated Workers

6)    Retention Rate for Adults

7)    Retention Rate for Dislocated Workers

8)    Average Earnings Rate for Adults and Dislocated Workers

9)    Earnings Gain for Dislocated Workers

 

These metrics, which assess performance outcomes for youth, adult, and dislocated workers from July 1, 2015 to June, 2016, serve as a streamlined performance measurement system for assessing accountability for Arkansas workforce centers.

Farrah Hammond, Project Director at Rescare, Inc., received the organization’s prestigious Best In Class© Award by achieving an overall rating of 105%, including high marks in employee stability and employee safety. Project Directors are selected for the award based on a review of overall standards as well as financial stewardship among a pool of approximately 300 operations nationwide.

The Best in Class © system is the organization’s quality improvement and measurement system designed to assist operations to continually improve overall organizational performance and to establish consistent procedures.  It is intended to proactively involve all staff in a measurable quest for continuous improvement. By clearly defining objectives, ResCare develops a basic level of customer service that can effectively and efficiently be built upon to meet customer expectations. Achievement approached in this manner builds stronger customer commitment and job satisfaction while enabling attainment of ResCare’s goals and mission.

ResCare (dba Arbor E&T) is the One-Stop Operator for the Little Rock Workforce Development Board. The Little Rock Workforce Development Board has seen such high achievement manifested in the history of consistent performance outcomes and quality service delivery.
